Prof. Felix Meissner from the Department of Systems Immunology & Proteomics at the University of Bonn will give a guest lecture at IVI on the topic “Same Protein – Different Message: How Extracellular Proteoforms Rewire Inflammation.“
The lecture will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 3:00 pm (s.t.) in the Pharmacology Lecture Hall, Peter-Mayr-Straße 1, 6020 Innsbruck.

Short Bio
Felix Meissner studied biochemistry at the Free University of Berlin and the Scripps Institute in San Diego, USA. He obtained his doctorate at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology in Berlin. His postdoctoral work took him to the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried and subsequently to the University of California, San Francisco, before he returned to Munich as an independent Research Group Leader for “Experimental Systems Immunology” at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry. Since 2021, he has been heading the Department of Systems Immunology and Proteomics at the University of Bonn. He is also co-founder of Odyssey Therapeutics, which translates scientific discoveries into novel therapeutics.
