The 21st Tyrolean Vaccination Day brings together physicians, pharmacists, healthcare professionals and students for a full day dedicated to the latest evidence and developments in vaccination. The Institute of Virology is one of the co-organising institutes, alongside the University Hospital of Internal Medicine II, the University Hospital of Paediatrics I, the Institute of Hygiene & Medical Microbiology, and the Institute for Biomedical Aging Research.
The programme covers a broad spectrum of current topics, including pertussis, RSV, influenza, vaccine-preventable vector-borne diseases in Tyrol, hepatitis viruses, travel vaccinations, vaccination in immunosuppressed patients, and immunity and vaccination in older age — rounded off by a quiz and a closing panel discussion. On behalf of the Institute of Virology, Dr. Barbara Falkensammer will present on hepatitis viruses.
A buffet will be provided during both breaks. 7 DFP points have been accredited within the continuing-education diploma of the Tyrolean Medical Association (No. 1048684).
Registration was handled directly by the organising team (reinhard.wuerzner@i-med.ac.at). For questions about attendance, please contact the organisers.
