Short Bio
Martin Ludlow is a molecular virologist working at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover on respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and human metapneumovirus (hMPV). His work uses optimized reverse genetics systems for contemporary RSV and hMPV strains to generate recombinant viruses for basic and translational studies. These focus on virus entry and spread, the assessment of immune responses, and the evaluation of molecular determinants that enable virus escape from monoclonal antibodies.
