Postdoctoral Researcher (5 years)
A fully funded 5-year postdoctoral position is available in the Kimpel Group (Infection Immunology and Vaccine Research), embedded in a Horizon Europe EDCTP consortium evaluating a Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) vaccine across African clinical cohorts. Candidates with a PhD in immunology or virology and hands-on experience in neutralization assays and antibody effector functions are invited to apply. Deadline: 31 March 2026.
Master Thesis at the Institute of Virology
A Master’s thesis position (6–10 months) is available in the Gerold Group, investigating RSV-induced syncytium formation and viral spread in the human respiratory epithelium. Work spans cell culture, 3D respiratory tract models, and a range of virological and molecular methods. Applicants from Life Sciences or Human Medicine backgrounds are welcome; a monthly stipend of €551.10 may be arranged for qualified candidates. Deadline: 31 March 2026.

Gesucht wird eine engagierte Mitarbeiterin / ein engagierter Mitarbeiter für eine drittmittelfinanzierte Verwaltungsstelle im Umfang von 25–30 Stunden/Woche. Das Aufgabengebiet umfasst allgemeine Administration, Verrechnung mit Sozialversicherungsträgern und Krankenhäusern sowie Büroorganisation. Voraussetzung ist Matura oder mehrjährige einschlägige Berufserfahrung; sehr gute MS-Office-Kenntnisse und Englischkenntnisse sind erwünscht. Bewerbungsfrist: 05.04.2025.
